This article really resounded with me. I’ve seen the Anne-Geddes-esque photos of many modern newborn photographers, and they just don’t seem right. All the props and quirky poses seem to miss the absolutely amazing-ness of more naturally set scenes and posed photos. I look at my children’s baby pictures now, and they whisk me back to those precious moments–the holding, cuddling, rocking, reading to, and kisses. The peaceful cherub-like sleeping faces. The smiles of Mommy, Daddy, grandparents, and siblings.
I like remembering them just as they were. For something that changes almost daily, a growing baby, I wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to capture all the reality I can.
